What’s more, this adult size bunk bed opens and closes quickly and easily. Importantly, the bed clothes and mattress are neatly stored away too. For instance, straps tie around the mattress and bed clothes to keep these in place when the bed is closed.
Moreover, the bed’s ladder is supplied as standard. Significantly, the ladder can also be stored away in the bunk together with the mattress and bed clothes.
Please note that La Literal bunk bed is not supplied with mattresses. Importantly, we recommend using a mattress no deeper than 17cm depth (190 x 90 x 17cm).
La Literal bunk bed is fitted as standard with gas pistons on both beds. Importantly, the pistons “dampen” both the opening and closing of the bunks to ensure safe and easy functionality. Firstly, La Literal folding bunk bed’s frame is robustly made in powder coated steel. Importantly, the powder coated steel is strong and corrosion-resistant.
Secondly, the bed’s facias are made in melamine chipboard. Significantly, the melamine chipboard is strong and easy to wipe clean.
These factors consequently make the bed ideal for everyday residential and contract use. Importantly, La Literal high quality wall bed is installed in many other locations here in the UK and internationally.
Significantly, La Literal’s top bunk features UK version safety bars. For instance, the UK version top bars are higher than standard EU version, and also include in-fill bars (as shown in technical drawing on above image slider). Moreover, the top bunk’s ladder (supplied as standard) clips onto frame of top bunk, and can be stored and folded away with the beds when not in use.

La Literal adult size bunk bed is simple to install and requires only basic DIY skills. Importantly, two people are required for the installation which typically takes 1 – 1.5 hours.
First, the bed’s vertical brackets rest on the floor and are secured to the wall with rawl plugs and screws. Secondly, the bunk beds are then hinged in between the brackets. Importantly, the vertical brackets bear the load of bed through the floor, not the wall.
Please note that Sellex La Literal beds are not suitable for installation on plasterboard walls. Importantly, if you wish to fit to plasterboard, a frame must be fitted behind the plasterboard on which to secure the brackets to. Moreover, Sellex La Literal bunk bed is not suitable for installation on floating floors.
La Literal adult size bunk bed is easy to operate. For instance, a sprung-loaded locking bolt holds each bed in its vertical closed position. Moreover, straps hold mattresses, bed linen & supplied ladder in place when the bed is in its closed vertical position. Next, a locking bolt secures each bed in its horizontal sleeping position.
Importantly, the beds should only opened or closed under adult supervision.
