Bios Hide modern garden seat pod is hand-made in basalt fibre. Significantly, basalt fibre was once a Top Secret polymer used by the Soviet Union during the Cold War in the aerospace industry for rocket nose cones and fuel drop-tanks. For example, basalt fibre is light yet extremely strong, making it a truly versatile material. Nowadays, this remarkable material has now been applied to more peaceful and creative purposes, culminating in Bios Hide. Importantly, Hide weighs a mere 21kg, yet has a load tolerance of 600kg! Moreover, the intricate hand-laid basalt fibres are finished with a state of the art Bulletliner coating. Importantly, Bulletliner is a patented coating developed to protect the underside of vehicles. Consequently, the coating is scratch, impact, UV and temperature resistant.
With the addition of a sumptuously deep Sunbrella cushion (approx. 15cm), Hide luxury sofa swing seat swing seat becomes luxuriously comfortable. Importantly, Sunbrella is the highest quality exterior fabric currently available. What’s more, Sunbrella is colour-fast,UV-resistant, water repellent and machine washable. Lastly, the Sunbrella covers are removable and are available in Heather Grey (taupe) or Charcoal Chine (mid-grey) fabrics.
Hide is suitable for indoor or outdoor use, and can be suspended with a variety of options. For instance, you can suspend Hide from a branch or a pergola beam. Moreover, we also supply a custom-made swing seat base for Hide which can be used indoors or outside. Significantly, the base is available in freestanding format as well as with an in-ground fitting.
Significantly, Hide is optionally available with a protective cover. For instance, the cover snugly fits over Hide, and serves to keep your Hide cushion dry.
