Individually hand-made
Each Lava Nest luxury fire bowl is individually hand-made, meaning that no 2 pieces are the same. For instance, the basalt fibre strands are hand-applied, making every Lava Nest unique.
Cooking versatility
Lava Nest’s impressive versatility means you can cook for family and friends in a variety of ways. For example, the BBQ’s smart laser-cut stainless steel grill includes;
- a Teppanyaki fry plate
- a regular BBQ grill
The cooking surface measures an impressive 1.0m Ø. Consequently, you can cook for just a couple of people all the way to a full-blown feast for 12.

Materials
Basalt fibre
Lava Nest garden grill & fire pit is made from once Top Secret basalt fibre.
Basalt fiber is a magical polymer extracted from basalt rock at high temperature.
Bbasalt fiber is;
- strong
- corrosion, temperature and weather-resistant
Original applications
Basalt fiber was originally used by the Soviets in the Cold War in the aerospace industry. For instance, the Soviets used basalt fiber to produce missile nose cones and fuel drop tanks.
These same qualities also make basalt fiber ideal for high performance outdoor fire pits.
Manufacturing process
- Firstly, the basalt fibre is mixed with epoxy resin and then skillfully applied by hand over a mold.
- Secondly, Lava Nest is then finished in a super-tough “Bullet Liner” coating. Significantly, Bullet Liner is also used to protect the underside of vehicles, and is crack, impact, scratch, UV, temperature-resistant and weatherproof.
Stainless steel
Lava Nest’s smart grill and teppanyaki is made in laser cut stainless steel. Importantly, the stainless steel is;
