Sellex La Literal folding bunk bed 200 x 90 cm (LI0000) is a space saving wall bed that provides unparalleled functionality and comfort. This full size bunk bed is designed by Lievore-Altherr-Molina for Sellex, Spain. La Literal is designed for everyday use and is suitable for adults and children. The bed includes many practical features. For example, the bunks are fitted as standard with gas pistons to dampen opening and closing. Sellex wall beds are made in quality folding wall bed materials and are available in a range of finishes. These features consequently ensure that La Literal is suitable for a wide range of residential and contract applications.
Space Saving Wall Bed
Sellex La Literal folding bunk bed has timeless contemporary design matched with intuitive and practical features. This space saving wall bed is designed for everyday use, and offers the same comfort expected of a regular bed. La Literal is a full size bunk bed suitable for both adults and children.
Functionality
The bunks opens and closes quickly and easily. Importantly, the bed clothes and mattress are neatly stored away too. Straps tie around the mattress and bed clothes to keep these in place when the bed is closed.
Ladder
The bed’s ladder is supplied as standard. The ladder can also be stored away in the bunk together with the mattress and bed clothes.
Mattress
Please note that Sellex La Literal folding bunk bed is not supplied with mattresses. We recommend using a mattress no deeper than 20 cm depth (200 x 90 x 20 cm).
Gas Pistons Supplied As Standard
Sellex La Literal folding bunk bed is fitted as standard with gas pistons on both beds. Importantly, the pistons “dampen” both the opening and closing of the bunks to ensure safe and easy functionality. The beds are optionally available without pistons. Bed Frame
La Literal folding bunk bed’s frame is robustly made in powder coated steel. Importantly, the powder coated steel is strong and corrosion-resistant.
Bed Facia
The bed’s facias are made in melamine chipboard. Significantly, the melamine chipboard is strong and easy to wipe clean. These factors consequently make the bed ideal for everyday residential and contract use. For example, La Literal space saving beds have been widely installed in private homes, hotels, hostels, the NHS, universities and conference centres. Importantly, La Literal high quality wall bed is installed in many other locations here in the UK and internationally.
UK Safety Bars
La Literal’s top bunk features UK version safety bars. For instance, the UK version top bars are higher than standard EU version, and also include in-fill bars (as shown in technical drawing on above image slider). The top bunk’s ladder (supplied as standard) clips onto frame of top bunk, and can be stored and folded away with the beds when not in use.
Alternative Folding Bunk Bed Sizes
The bunk bed is also available in (mattress) size of; 190 x 90 cm.
Full Size Bunk Bed Installation
La Literal full size bunk bed is simple to install and requires only basic DIY skills.
Two people are required for the installation which typically takes 1 – 1.5 hours.
Installing the wall brackets
The bed’s vertical brackets rest on the floor and are secured to the wall with rawl plugs and screws.
Mounting the bed frames
The bunk bed frames are then hinged in between the brackets. The vertical brackets bear the load of bed through the floor, not the wall.
Restrictions
Please note that Sellex La Literal beds are not suitable for installation on plasterboard walls. Importantly, if you wish to fit to plasterboard, a frame must be fitted behind the plasterboard on which to secure the brackets to. Sellex La Literal folding bunk bed is not suitable for installation on floating floors.
Bunk Bed Operation
La Literal adult size bunk bed is easy to operate. For instance, a sprung-loaded locking bolt holds each bed in its vertical closed position. Straps hold mattresses, bed linen & supplied ladder in place when the bed is in its closed vertical position. A locking bolt secures each bed in its horizontal sleeping position. The beds should only be opened or closed under adult supervision.
