Description
Sellex La Literal folding bunk bed provides two adult-size beds that fold vertically against the wall when not required. Designed for regular use by adults or children, the system incorporates gas pistons for controlled opening and closing, together with mattress straps that allow bedding to remain securely stored when folded.
A removable ladder is supplied as standard and can be stored inside the closed bed. The upper bunk incorporates UK-specification safety rails, including higher rails and additional infill bars.
Manufactured in the EU, La Literal combines a robust powder-coated steel structure with durable melamine-faced panels. Its compact footprint makes it particularly suitable for guest rooms, children’s bedrooms, apartments, hotels, hostels, student accommodation and other residential or contract environments where efficient use of floor space is essential.
Functionality
La Literal is secured using vertical brackets that rest on the floor and are fixed to a suitable solid wall. The load is transferred through the brackets to the floor rather than being supported solely by the wall. Installation typically requires two people.
Installation restrictions: Not suitable for direct installation onto plasterboard walls without suitable structural reinforcement behind the plasterboard. Not suitable for installation on floating floors.
Each bunk incorporates locking mechanisms for the closed vertical and open sleeping positions. Opening and closing should be carried out under adult supervision.
