The Unknown Nordic hanging chair stand is an outdoor swing seat support for the Bios swing seat collection. The stand uses high quality swing seat base materials, meaning that it is suitable for a lifetime of use in the garden or home.
The heavy duty hanging chair frame is strong enough to support 2 adults (and a child & dog) inside one of the Bios modern swing seat collection.

You can choose the stand with 2 different base options;
- Free-standing base.
- Base with in-ground fitting.

Base With In-Ground Fitting
The base with in-ground fitting is perfect if you want to lose the foot of the regular base.
Installation overview
- The in-ground fitting needs to be set in concrete ballast measuring; 90 x 90 x 90cm / 2ft 11″ x 2ft 11″ x 2ft 11″.
- The mast is connected to the in-ground fitting with bolts. Significantly, you can connect the mast in several different aspects to the in-ground fitting.

For instance, the base’s mast features a gracefully curved upright which compliments the the organic design of the Bios modern swing seat collection. The foot of the outdoor swing seat support provides exceptional stability.

The heavy duty hanging chair frame is finished in Black or Sage, perfectly matching the Bios modern swing sofa and hanging garden chair collection.
Bios Alpha & stand
NB; Please note that due to its width, the ends of Bios Alpha swing sofa will touch the vertical mast of the hanging chair stand when Alpha revolves.

Corrosion-resistant steel
- The base uses heavy duty tubular steel.
- The steel frame includes a zinc phosphate anti-corrosion treatment.
- Next, the base features a durable C4 coating system. Importantly, the C4 coating withstands environmental conditions classified as highly corrosive. For instance, the base’s C4 finish ensures that it is suitable for even marine environments.
- This high quality swing seat frame withstands a maximum load of 250 kg.
Galvanized steel
- The base’s optional in-ground fitting uses galvanized stainless steel. Importantly, the galvanized steel is super-strong and virtually impervious to corrosion.
