The RODA Orson Director Dining Chair reinterprets the classic director chair through a contemporary Italian design perspective. Designed by Gordon Guillaumier, it combines harmonious proportions, refined woodworking and practical folding functionality to create an elegant outdoor dining chair suited to both residential and hospitality environments.
The lightweight folding structure makes Orson exceptionally versatile, allowing it to be easily stored when not in use while maintaining a sophisticated presence around outdoor dining tables. Its naturally warm teak frame is paired with high-performance Batyline® mesh seating, providing ergonomic support, breathability and excellent resistance to outdoor conditions.
Available in two configurations, the Orson Director Dining Chair can be specified with a pure director-style profile or with integrated Batyline® mesh side panels for additional enclosure and comfort. The result is a practical yet luxurious outdoor chair that brings elegance and flexibility to terraces, gardens and marine-inspired settings.
Designer
Designed by Gordon Guillaumier, the Orson collection combines the traditional appeal of teak outdoor furniture with contemporary proportions and refined detailing. Materials
Frame
The frame is crafted from plantation teak, a premium hardwood selected for its strength, stability and natural resistance to outdoor conditions. Over time, teak develops a distinctive silver-grey patina while maintaining excellent structural performance and durability.
Seat & Backrest
The seat and backrest are constructed from Batyline® high-performance outdoor mesh fabric, providing flexible support, breathability and resistance to UV exposure, moisture and changing weather conditions. The material is designed for long-lasting outdoor use with minimal maintenance.
Configuration
The Orson Director Dining Chair is available in two versions: ORSON 001 with Batyline® mesh side panels and ORSON 011 with a more open director-style design. Both feature a folding structure, allowing convenient storage and flexibility for outdoor dining arrangements.
