Grythyttan Stålmöbler garden furniture

Family-owned Grythyttan Stålmöbler has been designing and producing iconic outdoor furniture in Sweden since the 1930s. All pieces are still handcrafted in the company’s own Swedish factory, resulting in furniture that feels both authentic and enduring – an unmistakable expression of Swedish design heritage.

Iconic Swedish design

Grythyttan was among the first manufacturers to adopt progressive design and production techniques, leading to the creation of the now-iconic A2 cantilever garden chair. Remarkably unchanged since its launch, the A2 remains a best-seller thanks to its distinctive ‘bounce’, relaxed comfort and minimal maintenance requirements.

Galvanised steel garden furniture

The collection has evolved to include a wider range of high-quality steel furniture, such as the contemporary HIGH-TECH chair, which retains Grythyttan’s signature cantilever construction. The range also includes the A3 cantilever lounge chair and sofa, alongside refined benches designed for modern outdoor settings.

Bistro and contract-friendly furniture

Grythyttan also offers a versatile selection of folding and knock-down dining tables to complement its stacking chairs. This flexibility makes the collection particularly well suited to private gardens, as well as restaurants, cafés and bars.

Built to last, responsibly made

Designed for longevity, Grythyttan furniture is crafted from premium materials including galvanised steel, plantation teak, oiled pine, oiled or lacquered oak, and HPL (High Pressure Laminate). Galvanised steel offers exceptional resistance to corrosion – even in demanding marine environments – and is fully recyclable at the end of its long lifespan.

All timber used by Grythyttan is FSC certified, ensuring it is responsibly sourced and sustainably managed.
