Importantly, Bios Lounge modern garden sofa is made from once Top Secret basalt fibre. For example, basalt fibre is a magical polymer extracted from basalt rock at high temperature. Significantly, basalt fibre is strong, corrosion and weather-resistant. Moreover, basalt fibre was originally used by the Soviets in the Cold War in the aerospace industry. For instance, the Soviets used basalt fibre to produce missile nose cones and fuel drop tanks.
Consequently, these same qualities also make basalt fibre ideal for high performance outdoor furniture. Firstly, the basalt fibre is mixed with epoxy resin and then skillfully applied by hand over a mold. Secondly, Bios Lounge outdoor corner sofa is then finished in a super-tough “Bullet Liner” coating. Significantly, Bullet Liner is also used to protect the underside of vehicles, and is crack, impact, scratch, UV, temperature-resistant and weatherproof.
Next, Bios Lounge sofa cushions are upholstered in Panama Agora “Onyx” grey. Importantly, the fabric is made from 100% solution-dyed acrylic. Moreover, the fabric is UV, stain and mildew-resistant. Moreover, Panama Agora has a Teflon coating which makes the fabric water-repellant. What’s more, the cushion covers are removeable and machine washable. Lastly, the cushions are filled with QuickDry foam. This consequently ensures that any moisture is quickly expelled from the cushion’s interior.
