Flip modern steamer chair is a modern interpretation of the classic folding teak lounge chair with foot stool of days gone by. This stylish teak furniture is designed by Strand+Hvass for Cane-line Scandinavian furniture company, Denmark.

Significantly, this modern reinterpretation of the classic steamer chair is notable for bold geometric frame and eye-catching seat and back slats of different sizes.

For instance, Flip furniture uses solid teak. Significantly, teak (Tectona grandis) is naturally oil-rich hardwood, making it ideal for outdoor use.

Moreover, the teak is delivered untreated. Consequently, Cane-line’s sustainably sourced teak furniture will naturally develop a silver-grey patina over time. Alternatively, you can retain the timber’s original golden color by applying a teak sealant.

Lastly, please note that teak is a natural product and therefore continues to change. For example, this means that small cracks can develop due to drying, and that slats can warp slightly.
