Bios Nest egg chair is hand-made in basalt fibre. Significantly, basalt fibre was once a Top Secret polymer used during the Cold War.
Basalt fibre is light, extremely strong & weather-resistant, making it a truly versatile material. For instance, basalt fibre was used to create rocket nose cones and fuel drop-tanks.
Nowadays, this remarkable material has now been applied to more peaceful and creative purposes. For instance, Bios Nest luxury swing seat weighs a mere 9kg, yet has a load tolerance of 300kg!
Firstly, the intricately hand-laid basalt fibres are applied over a mold.
The pod is finished in a high performance Bullet Liner finish.
Importantly, Bullet Liner is also used to coat the underside of vehicles, and is;
