Bios Hide modern garden seat pod is hand-made in basalt fibre. Basalt fibre was once a Top Secret polymer used by the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
Basalt fibre was used in the aerospace industry for rocket nose cones and fuel drop-tanks. Significantly, basalt fibre is light yet extremely strong, making it a truly versatile material.
Nowadays, this remarkable material has now been applied to more peaceful and creative purposes, culminating in Bios Hide. Hide weighs a mere 21kg, yet has a load tolerance of 600kg!
The intricate hand-laid basalt fibres are finished with a state of the art Bulletliner coating. Bulletliner is a patented coating developed to protect the underside of vehicles. The coating is;

Hide large garden swing seat is supplied as standard with 3m of synthetic hemp rope to hang Bios Hide from. The hemp rope makes a great contrast with Bios Hide’s cool black modern design. Should you require more rope, please contact us.
