At a glance, Hive looks as though it’s made from real bamboo cane. However, this chic garden swing seat hides a secret. Hive swing seat features a “Natural” Cane-line Weave finish, a man-made material which is strong and weather-resistant.
You can choose Hive’s snug seat and back cushions in a range of fabrics, including;

Hive sofa swing’s Cane-line Weave finish features a synthetic cane extrusion which uses solution-dyed polyethylene (PE).
The fiber is ideal for outdoor use as it withstands moisture and large variations in temperature.
This durable material is UV-resistant and requires minimal maintenance. Significantly, Cane-line Weave® has been developed to withstand climate conditions all over the world and the material will retain its color and shape for many years.
The weave may vary slightly in color. Consequently, this provides a nice contrast in the surface of the weave. Importantly, this gives the furniture a unique, natural and exclusive look.
Hive sofa’s optional hardwood base uses solid teak. Significantly, teak (Tectona grandis) is naturally oil-rich hardwood, making it ideal for outdoor use.
The teak is delivered untreated. Consequently, Cane-line’s sustainably sourced teak furniture will naturally develop a silver-grey patina over time. Alternatively, you can retain the timber’s original golden color by applying a teak sealant.
Please note that teak is a natural product and therefore continues to change. For example, this means that small cracks can develop due to drying, and that slats can warp slightly.
Cane-line teak furniture uses WWF-GFTN certified wood. Importantly, this is your guarantee that the wood has been sourced from responsibly and sustainably managed forests.
