Corten Fire Bowl

The Ring’s curved form and added slats are quite an eye-catcher. Moreover, you can quickly and easily build a good, hefty flame within the Ring, with little to no smoke.

The fire pit’s corten steel finish gives The Ring a modern look, whilst maintaining a sturdy durable coating. Next, the fire pit’s feet are hidden almost entirely underneath the bowl, giving the The Ring the appearance of almost gently hovering above the ground.

Oxidised Corten Steel

The Ring modern garden fire pit is made from high-quality corten steel, which is;

100% recyclable at the end of its long life

Once exposed to the weather, the material takes on a life of its own. Importantly, The Ring may not be completely rusted when it arrives. However, inevitable rainfall will initiate a rusty oxidation layer to form, protecting The Ring against further corrosion. For example, the natural formation of this barrier can take up to 1 year. However, spraying regularly some water on The Ring will speed up this transformation.

Significantly, the start of the rusting process may cause The Ring to leave some coloured spots on your terrace, especially on a light-colored surface. Moreover, the risk of stains decreases over the course of just a few weeks. What’s more, any spots present can easily be washed away with a rust remover and some scrubbing.

Eventually, The Ring doesn’t need any further maintenance. Importantly, due of the rusting process the corten has now created its own protective layer. Consequently, oiling or painting is not necessary. How convenient!

Powder Coated Steel

Lastly, The Ring’s optional olive-coloured finish features metallized steel. For instance, this involves applying a protective layer of zinc to the steel. The steel is;

don’t place The Ring near low hanging branches that might catch fire
a stable, fireproof concrete, stone or tiled surface is the safest space to use The Ring
never place the fire bowl on a flammable surface
during drier periods, like summer, you should err on the side of caution while using The Ring in dry grass fields, where fire spreads easily and quickly
significantly, dry wood will burn more easily and better than wet wood and will give you a lot less smoke
never use gasoline, oil or any kind of highly flammable substances to light your fire. For instance, these substances are hard to control if combined with fire and can lead to dangerous situations
never leave The Ring unattended when in use and keep children at a safe distance – there’s always a small chance that you get hit by sparks and embers.
