We had one of our busiest shows in recent memory at this year’s 100% Design, which we are chuffed to bits with. On the stand this year was an array of different products; from the show stopping behemoth Wave hammock from Royal Botania, to the minimalist Turn log burning stove and accompanying modern design fire tools, all from Conmoto. The Fuera Dentro showcase included the Evolved table, designed by Timothy Schreiber, and the Siesta Lounger, a sumptuous new edition to the modern classic Cima lounge collection. Bold, tactile modern design watches from LIP with new revised finishes were the attraction for many discerning admirers, while Freek outdoor carpets in a range of fun and funky colours captured the imagination of the extroverts.
The Wave hammock from Royal Botania certainly turned a few heads at the show, attracting great interest from both visitors and the Press.
Amongst those to notice the Wave at 100% Design where the BBC, who filmed and subsequently featured the Wave on the BBC News website Business section.
Designed by Eric Nyberg and Gustav Storm, Wave is luxurious hammock that is perfect for use around the garden or around the pool. The design of Wave is a piece of sculpture in itself, and being fixed to the ground at only one point gives the Wave a floating appearance.
Wave hammock is made in electro polished stainless steel and Batyline, meaning that like all Royal Botania garden products, it is designed for year-round exterior use, no matter how harsh the climate. A luxurious fitted cushion is the finishing touch of comfort to this stunning architectural piece. WAVE also rotates through 360 degrees, allowing you to follow the sun (or shade) throughout the day.
E-Volved table by Timothy Screiber for Fuera Dentro. This was the first UK showing of Evolved, and it made quite an impression. With a flowing, organic design, evocative of natural forms, and cast in stainless steel with brilliant polished finish, Evolved is suitable for year round exterior use or interior use.
TURN log burning stove surprised many visitors with its’ rotatable 360 degrees function. Designed by Schweiger & Viererbl for Conmoto, Turn has an impressive 5KW heat output and a functional integrated log storage unit.
The door opens to the right, revealing a generously sized combustion chamber, where firewood is efficiently consumed, leaving little or no ash residue. The air supply can be regulated with the rotating wheel under the handle.
